Feisty Fidos, Littleton, Ma— Seminar with featured speaker; Pia Silvestri Focus on types and causes of aggressive behavior with some solutions for handling and training with those animals.
Aggression in Dogs, Berlin, NJ— Seminar with featured speaker; Brenda Aloff
Focus on aggressive dogs. Reading their body language. Identify aggressive behaviors vs. normal dog behavior. Specific methods demonstrated to effectively and safely work with dogs that display aggression.

Know How Know Why—Weekend seminar in Accord NY featuring Kathy Sado. Hands on work with shaping, back-chaining, cue application and mechanical skills of clicker training.
Calming Signals—Weekend seminar in Ringwood, NJ featuring Turid Rugaas. Ms. Rugaas taught her philosophy of dog training and handling. Hands on work with dogs teaching loose leash walking and handling skills when approaching other dogs.
Groom Expo—Hershey Pennsylvania. Weekend seminar on animal behavior taught by Gary Wilkes, one of the first if not the very first adopter of clicker use in dog training.

Animal Learning Processes & Behavior Analysis—Online college level course from the American Institute of Animal Science. Featured the analysis of animal learning behavior processes, including respondent and operant conditioning. Primary focus was the theory behind the procedures used by animal behavior specialists for increasing and decreasing animal behavior.

1985-2003
Dog training as a hobbyist. Participated in ongoing training with my pet dogs. Averaging 3-4 hours a week of training in a group setting near my home at the time in Maryland.
Seeing Eye
I raised three guide dogs for the blind from 1992 to 1996.
